Senior Motion Designer

London | Hybrid | £60K – £70K 

We’re working with a highly regarded independent creative studio looking to hire a Senior Motion Designer as part of their continued growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to play a defining role in how motion is integrated into a brand-led creative environment. Joining a collaborative team of designers, strategists and creative leaders, you’ll help bring ambitious ideas to life through motion, whilst shaping and elevating the studio’s overall motion capability.

This is not a role where motion sits in a silo. You’ll be involved from the earliest stages of creative development, working closely with the wider team to build motion systems, visual behaviours, digital experiences and compelling brand stories.

The Role

As the studio’s motion specialist, you’ll take ownership of a broad range of projects, creating motion work that is both strategically considered and beautifully crafted.

You’ll collaborate closely with designers and creative leads, helping to translate ideas into engaging motion experiences across identity systems, campaigns, digital platforms, social content and presentations.

You’ll be encouraged to contribute creatively, challenge thinking, explore new approaches and help drive the quality of motion work across the business.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience working within a branding, design or creative agency environment
• Advanced After Effects skills and exceptional motion craft
• A portfolio demonstrating outstanding motion work across brand, digital and campaign projects
• Excellent typographic animation and a strong eye for detail
• Experience creating motion systems and assets that work within wider brand frameworks
• Confidence working across both 2D and 3D motion projects
• Cinema 4D experience would be highly advantageous
• Ability to work independently whilst thriving within a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills and confidence discussing work, ideas and creative rationale
• Someone who enjoys turning strategic thinking into engaging visual storytelling

The Person

You’ll have a genuine appreciation for branding, storytelling and design systems, understanding how movement can add meaning, personality and clarity to creative work.

You’ll be curious, collaborative and ambitious, someone who enjoys sharing ideas, pushing quality and helping others produce their best work.

This could suit an established Senior Motion Designer looking for a fresh challenge, or an exceptional Midweight ready to take the next step in their career.
