Work Location: Hybrid (4 days in office during probation, moving to 3 days)
Overview
We’re partnering with a globally recognised experiential agency known for delivering high-impact brand experiences across fashion, beauty, luxury, and lifestyle.
With studios across the US, UK, and Europe, they specialise in everything from immersive activations and influencer trips to large-scale installations and pop-ups for some of the world’s most iconic brands.
They are now looking for a Director of Production (LA-based) to lead their US production function — a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping how projects are delivered, scaling production capabilities, and ensuring world-class execution across all work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop the production team across producers, coordinators, and freelance talent
- Define and implement production strategy, including vendor networks, fabrication approaches, and delivery frameworks
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
- Act as Executive Producer on the agency’s most complex and high-profile projects
- Partner closely with clients, leading conversations around execution strategy, feasibility, and delivery
- Own budgeting, margin protection, and commercial performance across projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, finance, and operations teams
- Build and maintain a best-in-class network of fabrication partners, suppliers, and freelancers
- Implement risk management and contingency planning across all production workstreams
- Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
- Extensive experience in experiential production, ideally within luxury, fashion, or lifestyle sectors
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex projects from concept through to execution
- Strong leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary production teams
- Deep understanding of scenic fabrication, materials, and build processes
- Ability to confidently translate creative ideas into technical execution
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, margins, and financial performance
- Highly client-facing, with the ability to lead high-pressure conversations and decision-making
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solutions-driven mindset
Bonus Experience
- Experience working across global markets or multi-region campaigns
- Established network of vendors, fabricators, and production partners
- Background in both agency and production environments
