Overview
We’re partnering with a leading experiential design and technology studio to appoint a senior Business Director – Growth & Partnerships to drive strategic expansion across key U.S. markets.
This is a high-impact, client-facing leadership role positioned at the intersection of relationship-building, commercial strategy, and creative opportunity shaping. You’ll be responsible for generating momentum in-market, turning conversations into briefs, briefs into projects, and projects into long-term partnerships.
The studio combines creative design, engineering, fabrication, projection mapping, interactive technology, and advanced production capabilities to deliver ambitious, fully executable experiences across live entertainment, brand activations, and immersive environments.
What You’ll Do
Drive Market Growth
- Establish and grow the studio’s presence within your market (NYC or Chicago), building visibility across creative, brand, and cultural networks.
- Identify, initiate, and nurture relationships with brands aligned to the studio’s ambition and technical capabilities.
- Create sustained pipeline momentum through strategic outreach, positioning, and partnership development.
Build & Expand Client Partnerships
- Develop trusted, long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Uncover client priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities, positioning the studio as a strategic creative partner.
- Guide clients toward larger, more ambitious scopes of work by aligning business objectives with creative possibilities.
Shape & Advance Opportunities Internally
- Collaborate closely with creative and production leadership to shape incoming opportunities and define engagement strategy.
- Translate client context into clear internal briefs that align teams around objectives, scope, and commercial value.
- Work alongside Growth and Insights teams to track pipeline development and identify expansion opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in business development, partnerships, or client leadership within a creative, experiential, or design-led environment.
- A proven track record of building and growing strategic client relationships in a defined market.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to move opportunities from early-stage conversation through to engagement.
- Confidence collaborating with creative and production teams in fast-paced, high-ambition environments.
- A relationship-first mindset — motivated by building lasting partnerships rather than transactional wins.
- Clear, articulate communication skills and comfort operating in client-facing and public settings.
